Sometimes love arrives wrapped in foil

I think I’ve written about this before, at least I thought about it, but I’m not sure if I ever did.

Love sometimes arrives in aluminum foil.

We were so excited to try what’s in this foil wrapped pan!
A happy girl, enjoying yummy ribs
The best ribs!!

Throughout her cancer treatment the way things tasted changed due to the chemo. But, one thing that always tasted good was ribs. Especially ribs made by a good friend from church.

Today I got a great text:

Thankfully our schedules aligned and our friend rang the doorbell with a foil package in his hands. They were delicious!!

And, he had no way of knowing that things have felt a little off lately -Morgan realized we’re almost to the anniversary of when we first found the lump 4 years ago. Just yesterday I had to call the children’s hospital to schedule the next follow-up with Joanna’s surgeon for May. It’ll be just days before her follow-up appointment with her oncologist. So, while treatment is done, follow-up, and especially the mental effects are definitely not done.

In this season of ups and downs it was super encouraging to be remembered.
